If we shut an app down

Not every app we start will last. This is exactly what happens to you, your data and your money if one shuts down. We wrote it before the first app shipped.

  • 30 daysnotice while it’s an early test version
  • 60 daysnotice once it’s open to everyone and free
  • 90 daysnotice if you’ve paid, plus a refund for unused time
  1. We tell you first.

In the app, by email, and on the blog here, all on the same day.

  2. You can take everything with you.

A one-click export (JSON, plus CSV or PDF where it helps) works from the day we announce until the last day. It’s built in from the first test version, not added at the end.

  3. Paid plans stop right away.

Nothing renews after we announce. The unused part is refunded automatically. You don’t have to ask.

  4. Then we delete it.

Everything, including backups as they rotate, within 30 days after the end date. We email you when it’s done.

  5. If it moves into Daryl, you decide.

Sometimes an app becomes part of Daryl. Your data only comes along if you say yes.

Apps we’ve shut down

None yet. If one ends it stays listed here for good, with the dates, why we stopped, what happened to the data, and what we learned.
